Sound Beginnings 1 is designed to encourage vocalisation through exploration and skills-building exercises. It
encourages and develops basic awareness of the dimensions of speech, such as volume, inflection, pitch, breath control and the presence or absence of voice. 

 Sound Beginnings 2 is the second edition of this highly motivational interactive resource, which is designed to encourage communication in young children and those with special education needs. Building on the features of the original, Sound Beginnings 2 encompasses even more exciting activities using voice stimulus. A simple microphone is all that is needed.

Age 6+

Alphabet Track is a motivating and easy to use CD-ROM that enables users to learn the names of the letters of the alphabet and alphabetical order. It can also improve short term memory.

Alphabet Track uses and reinforces the familiar alphabet arc format used by many structured, multi-sensory programmes for teaching learners with dyslexia.

Suitable for young mainstream learners (aged 6 to 9) and all older learners who may have difficulty with short-term memory and recalling sequences.

Age 4+

Phoneme Track helps users to identify, segment, blend and manipulate sounds (phonemes) that are representative of graphemes in the English language.

As well as being extremely useful in the mainstream classroom, Phoneme Track is ideal for older learners who may be experiencing specific phonological difficulties.

Age 4+

Word Track helps primary aged pupils improve their ability to memorise and learn. It is also ideal for all learners with specific learning difficulties who have particular problems with memorising spellings.

Word Track consists of 180 sentences of increasing phonic complexity, with full audio support, together with simple animated illustrations.  The learner is required to correctly track the sentence as well as correctly typing it, with or without the original sentence on the screen.
