The series consists of six titles:

At the Garden Centre: Children make choices from a range of plants, seeds, gardening tools and more, as they visit the garden centre.

Designed to complement the role-play area in the classroom, each CD-ROM allows children to use a computer in the way they observe them being used in real life. Children are encouraged to express their own feelings and perform role-plays based around specific situations. Each CD-ROM is accompanied by a book of photocopiable activity sheets. The programs and linked activity sheets provide children with opportunities for learning across the six curriculum areas of the Foundation Stage – particularly communication, language and literacy and mathematical development. Teacher settings allow the program to be modified to suit a range of pupils’ needs.

At the Garden Centre:

• provides opportunities to develop simple money-related skills
• broadens the experience of modelling through play
• promotes language development
• includes a simple text entry facility and user-friendly interface
• extensive range of support materials.

All the CD-ROMs in this series help children to further develop their knowledge and understanding of the
world, and make an important contribution to their personal, social and emotional development.
