What you need
- A suitable toy
- A small screwdriver
- A battery switch adaptor (appropriate to the toy)
- A Switch
Stage 1: Find a Suitable Toy
It is important to choose
a battery powered toy that uses a simple on/off switch, examples
could be: Flopsy Raddit or Percy Pig or a simple device such as a battery powered
fan, radio or walkman. A simple test is to switch on the device
and see if it works, without any other actions.
Stage
2: Open the battery compartment
this usually requires the
removal of a small screw.
Check the battery size and select an appropriately sized battery
switch adaptor.
Stage 3: Inset the Battery Switch Adaptor
When inserting the adaptor it is important that it
touches both the battery and the power connector (spring connection
to - end of the battery is best).
Stage 4: Close the battery compartment lid and replace screw
You may find that the wire stops you closing the lid, if this is
the case cut a small notch in the side of the compartment.
Stage 5: Switch on the toy
If you have successfully inserted the switch adaptor,
the toy will not activate even though switched on.
Stage 6: Connect your Switch
You can now connect your switch and use. Pressing the switch will
activate the toy.
